Good bye Coli(2014-2020)
I know this post gonna piss off my fellow ADOS. But @Kitsch looking over that vid I finally get your concern. Because while I "get" what tone was trying to say the way he FRAMED it was NOT good. @IllmaticDelta framed it better than him. So yea while I did come off aggressive I kinda got your concern @Kitsch

Tone Talk NEEDS to chill out :francis: cuz now its gonna spread like wild fire to casuals.:francis: This is why I prefer Yvette over him.

Tone wear his emotions on his sleeve. Should do a disclaimer before his shows saying his personal views aren’t representative of ADOS cause they’re going to start chopping his videos up. Joy Ann Reid keeps throwing stuff out there hoping it sticks.

Sometimes the people that start the race are just meant to only do that. One thing that’ll always stick out to me is early on Yvette saying no one is bigger than the movement and anyone can be replaced.

We are a people led movement. That means we should be able to critique anyone that calls themselves representing us and they should be able to take it with no problem if there’s no ulterior motives behind the criticism. MLK, Malcolm, heck even Jesse were always willing to listen to their people who wanted to reel them in a bit.

I wanna look at this from a different perspective and I'm genuinely interested in hearing y'alls opinion. Not to debate, just clarity on a diff viewpoint Native Americans:

For comparison, Native Americans sold Manhattan island for roughly $1100 in today's dollars. That sale was profoundly influential in the increase of the slave trade. No Manhattan, no Wall Street-- No Wall Street, No slave auctions-- No slave auctions, No NYC/Global city that we know today. On the same coin, Natives accepted blankets covered in smallpox, etc. What they saw as a 'good deal' led to their own demise. I'm sure there's similar cases in India and elsewhere and the perpetrator remains the same.

We're all victims in one form or another, and our victimhood often has overlap upon further inspection. Why do we place resentment on each other when the perpetrators got over on the entire global south?
pointing out that the historical "poc" coalition was and always will be bullshyt isn't resentment, and it's really not even the main point. The main point is that we as ADOS are different and have our own unique history in the Western paradigm. I don't know we you keep beating this "we're all in this together :damn:" dead horse when we're clearly NOT "in it" all together. Groups and people are in it to further their own respective self interest. And now that ADOS is FINALLY waking up and advocating the same the same groups that are and profited off our struggles are entering defcon 5. Very telling :sas2:

We may all be considered black, but that doesn’t mean we’ll mesh well culturally. I’ve heard all types of black people say they have a preference for their own nationality or ethnic group.

I think there are instances when a Black American can have more in common with white Americans than with some Africans. Really depends on how long they’ve been here or how much they cling to their culture.
breh I've read time and time again how when ADOS return "home" the people native to those countries see us as just another westerner.

Then when those folks come over here they are QUICK to let the world know they aren't like "those Black people" :francis:

There's a distinct difference between advocating for our people and villainizing non ADOS blacks because we have differences. I don't know where this notion that it's only "now" that we're looking out for each other started. Supporting black owned businesses and entrepreneurship has been heavy for a few years now, and non ADOS were never a part of the discussion.

breh literally runs all over the Coli shytting on ADOS any chance he gets but really got the nerve to enter this thread pretending as if he wants to have some kind of productive dialog :russ:

out here creating bullshyt talking points created out of thin air so that he can argue against them and feel better about being aggy towards ADOS and reparations :mjlol:

how shytty does your life have to be to carry on like that :hhh:

If you don't fukk with it or particularly care for it trust us you're not hurting our feelings breh :umad:
hate all you want :yeshrug:

but why come into the OFFICIAL THREAD peddling your concern trolling and off brand ideas

most people who don't like something don't spend their days following it around seeking opportunities to voice their displeasure.
I think most new hip hop is trash, therefore you're not gonna see me posted up in the Booth in the official Cardi B, Kevin Gates, or Kodak Black threads. Imagine how stupid I would look. Now apply it to yourself, weirdo :hhh:

and get off our dikks already :camby:

Has Yvette clearly explained why she's against H.R. 40 now? Wasn't she for it just a couple of weeks ago?

Sunkara's premise is flawed because the fight against racism is not a 50 year issue but a 400 year issue. It has targeted ADOS specifically for 4 centuries. Reparations won't solve racism and I don't know anyone who is naive enough to think or believe it will. The need for reparations is a result of fighting against US' racism against ADOS. But it is not the core nor the cure for racism itself. Never has been.

I dont like the assimilationist language of some ADOS who talk about they want to be full Americans. Our goal should be getting reparations then getting our own nation. We shouldnt want to assimilate into America.
