Representative Turner has a few words to say to the American Freedmen of today - "Continue the Fight!" Benjamin Sterling Turner (1825-1894) - U.S. Congressman, 1871-1873, representing Alabama. He was an education-having, land owning, enterprising advocate for American Freedmen. He fought for reparations for the formerly enslaved. Unfortunately, he died penniless and almost forgotten after economic hardships and market crashes.

Why does Black History Month occur in February? The relevance of February goes back to 1926, when ASALH’s founder Dr. Carter G. Woodson first established “Negro History Week” during the second week of February. And why that week? Because it encompasses the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass—both men being great American symbols of freedom. However, Woodson never confined Negro History to a week. His life’s work and the mission of ASALH since its founding in 1915 represent a living testimony to the year-round and year-after-year study of African American history.

About Black History Month – ASALH – The Founders of Black History Month

This is the meaning of Negro History Week. It is not so much a Negro History Week as it is a History week. We should emphasize not Negro History, but the Negro in history. What we need is not a history of selected races or nations, but the history of the world void of national bias, race hate, and religious prejudice. There should be no indulgence in undue eulogy of the Negro. The case of the Negro is well taken care of when it is shown how he has influenced the development of civilization.”

Carter Godwin Woodson, “The Celebration of Negro History Week, 1927,” Journal of Negro History, April 1927

Best ep in a long time. Addresses the "vote Blue no matter who" clowns who thought having Kamala Harris on the ticket as VP was a Black Agenda. Also addresses the Black Farmers and the repeated mistake of trying to get "Race" based policies. Also covers how Native Americans are somehow exempt to this.

It's not somehow. It's pretty straightforward. Native Americans are represented by nations.

Aframs will have to be designated something outside of race and ethnicity.

With the NA's they don't just ust Nations, they get benefits as a racial group also.

"Aframs will have to be designated something outside of race and ethnicity."

That's why we have been screaming "Lineage" since this ADOS movement started but Democratic loyalists and Pan African types keep screaming "Black" and "People of Color".
