Thinking that being a gay man is more difficult than being a black man makes any other logic beyond that point broken. He's wrong.

From my observation, being gay today is far more accepted that 30, 20 or even 10 years ago. Now being transgendered, they going through some ish, but homosexuality doesn't quite have the same stigma it once had.

Brehs bringing up Fences/Birth of a Nation. Those were both very good movies. The issue for both was that lead actor was directing the movie as well. That shyt is hard to do and its easier for some flaws to creep into the movie.

If Barry Jenkins directed Fences (letting Denzel just focus on acting)
If Ryan Coogler directed Birth of a Nation (letting Nate just focus on the acting)

Either one probably takes best picture this year :manny:.....La la land was vulnerable. :ld:

Barry Jenkins is a great director brehs. Subject matter aside the dude can really tell a story and shoot a movie.

Hidden figures was not oscar worthy. I don't even know why it was compared to fences
Nor was Moonlight but here we are. Outside of Ali's performance and cinematography, it wasn't Oscar worthy. Screenplay was paper thin and the direction was decent but limited by the screenplay. Score was sparse but the theme was well performed and placed. Anything beyond that is the gay agenda push they all want.

Everyone getting on Beatty but Runaway, I mean Dunaway read La La Land outloud.
Both they ass soft as hell

Knowing shyt was looking funny, I'd have straight up said "This card is wrong guys" or something like that. nikka legit tried to just let shyt ride in the sunset. The LLL crew wasn't having that shyt though.

Wrong.

Cinematography amazing.
Music was better than most
Story line I agree.
And I was with u on the gay agenda. But idk how that was pushed at all. There was like maybe 10 min of gay shyt in the whole movie
