Ehh I like the song but its still pushing that "respect us because we are explicitly nonviolent and peaceful in our movement" passivity...

Selma (partially)
Nightcrawler, Gone Girl, A most violent year.

I felt the cast of Selma was snubbed, Gone Girl needed more noms especially directing/cinematography, Nightcrawler was excellent, Jake da gawd should have seen a nom for that also.

I feel y'all on Nightcrawler. Honestly...I'm just not sure what happened with that. I feel like the Academy just looked at it as this basic thriller...didn't "get it". Maybe it wasn't the Academy...maybe it was the studio not pushing it hard enough.

It definitely should have been marketed to be more like a modern Taxi Driver....instead of the Drive like promotion it seemed to have gotten.

I kinda felt like Gone Girl was average though. I actually am pretty big on Rosamund Pike, been following her performances for awhile now, but aside from her....wasn't Finchers best effort imo.
