I get what they are going for. But these feel like exhibition rivalries at best. Because for the most part they aren't even in the same league. Rivalry week really only works in CFB. The hatred/gamesmanship just isn't really there in the pros.I didn't even know about most of these rivalries.

and for many of the inter city rivalries, they only exist because fans flock to the games.
Yankees /Mets isn't the rivalry everyone thinks it is because the Yankees hate playing them.
Same with the cubs white Sox games. We had more of a rivalry with the Brewers and Atlanta (in the 90’s)

It's definitely happened later in the year.
