Why

Look at locations where the school is the population of the area like a Penn St. You can buy tix to a playoff game for $50. The most important part of the college stadium experience are the students. Most kids have gone home for the holiday season and/or they graduated the week prior. They’re not sticking around an extra week just for a game. Also, the fact where if you’re a team like Clemson and let’s pretend you have a opportunity to make it to the title game, your fans have to travel to Austin, Atlanta, Miami or Dallas for the semis, then back to Atlanta for the title game. That’s preposterous

When Maalik left Texas everyone thought he would end up at some SEC school(a few needed a QB) and he ended up at Duke. After one year at Duke, they thanked him for his services and told him they were moving on. Yet some of you still expected him to end up at a big-ish school. Maalik my dude but this board's opinion of him is much higher than college football programs.

State college is one of those logistical nightmares, and i believe that’s where the issues are

Gotta think of it outside of football terms. Kids have to get enrolled at their new schools. That can't happen in late January. Only real fix is to eliminate the winter portal period and just have the one in the Spring.
