Nah, Wisconsin has always been considered a Public Ivy school, in which Academics is a core priority. We've lost coaches in the past because we wouldn't push out the big time dollars to retain the assistants.

I think it's just personal pride, but it's a philosophy that is outdated. You can have a high class education system and have a powerhouse athletic program.
