Hopefully down the road CFB won’t need a Golden At-Bat or a Mid-Season cup type gimmick to get people back interested again.
Thing with football that helps is that there are only 1 game a week per team, and only like ~21 max NFL games and like 16 max CFB games, and generally, the games are played on the weekend. Generally speaking you only get one shot at your rivals for a whole ass year.

Other sports have too many fukking games so the interest dies out b/c in base ball you can lose 80 games and still have a good season. CFB, you lose 3 games and your season is pretty much trash. Who tf watching some random June 8th 1PM start on a Tuesday baseball game?

Playoff expansion could start killing the regular season intrigue. It's almost inevitable that a 16 team playoff expansion will happen in the next 6-10 years.

looking at out transfer departures.. clearly Lanning is making cuts to make room for the incoming class and some transfers instead of players leaving willingfully. I can live with this. signs of a steady program

It doesn’t kill the nfl regular season intrigue. If anything it makes it more exciting
