Like the NIT?
idek...some way to make them interesting. Have all the winners play each other and then get some kinda at large bid. It doesn't make sense rn, b/c so many games, etc. but the general idea could be interesting as the playoffs expand.

I remember there used to be chatter of what's better, bowl season or march madness first weekend. And it used to be close but now, MM blows this out of the water.

The playoffs will be dope, but the opting out, playing for 8th place in your conference type bowls are trash unless there's some kinda dope matchup. Bama vs. Michigan has some intrigue at least

Mf thought he could skips steps and get right to final form 'doughy mahomes'....not realizing in college, Pat wasn't super shredded or nothin' but he was a lil leaner.

Might as well figure out a way to turn these trash ass meaningless bowls into some kinda playoff too...
They need to get rid of bowl tie ins first.. If everything is about money and eyeballs, first out bowl games would have been a good opportunity.. Bama vs. Miami or Miami vs. Colorado.. Ole Miss vs. Colorado or something..

I think an nit type playoff would stop the opt outs but it seems like nil also curbed that some as well cause ain’t cam ward playing in the bowl game

First out bowls should 100% be a thing

No one cares about the regular NIT so I doubt that. There would need to be something worth playing for like an at large bid otherwise who cares

When it was a 4 team playoff you had guys opting out of NY6 bowls, even the fukking ROSE BOWL had big ten guys opting out. That's a disgrace

I think people don’t care about the NIT because ncaa tournament has 64 teams but a at large bid would be interesting maybe have a play in for the last 2 seeds?

True I’m encouraged by some of the big names playing again

Maybe once the playoffs inevitably expand, they can start the bowls earlier and the "winner" of the bowl tournament will get to play for the 16th seed or something like that. That way a team can get hot and who knows would could happen, and it could allow for mid-majors to come up, or a team that felt slighted, like S.Car/Bama/Miami to slide into the picture.
