Not sure where to jump in on this NIL discussion y'all are having but just because a school has millionaires/billionaires doesn't mean that they'll want to contribute to athletics. I can name several schools who's richest donor don't gaf about sports and donate their money towards getting top shelf professors or state of the art buildings with their names on them. Richest FSU alum is Sara Blakely and she donated once and that was to get the school from up under Jeff Bowden's contract. She flat out refuses to support the athletic program, men or women's. She takes up causes like female entrepreneurship endeavors >>> foosball

Look at a school like UGA. They have more donors shelling out $250k /yr than most schools have millionaire donors. All goes back to how invested some of these guys are. Michigan State has two billionaires who are on their Phil Knight shyt but it's not helping them at all on the trail (yet). T. Boone gave OkSt somewhere around the amount of $650MM for athletics. Them fukkers still suck. You can donate all the $$ you want. It's still not enough to get someone to commit to live in that shyt hole known as Stillwater. I'd be interested to know if someone has a tracker or something that tracks stuff like blue chip ratio for transfers.

Okie St was in the B12 CCG last year, and they haven't won a conference game this year in a weaker conference? Crazy turn around.

crazy thing is this was a senior laden team

qb, rb, two top wr from last year all came back, most guys on defense same as last year. No injury bug Gundy just doesn't have it anymore

what a school can afford and what they actually shell are not 1:1

The richest Texas donors haven't contributed to NIL up to this point. Simple reason why is :mjpls:. This is the story across many schools, it is not safe to assume these rich donors love or even care about football like that. Most of them would rather pay to have their name on a building on campus. Texas NIL is being carried be mid level rich guys, the fans, and corporate NIL. Schools like Texas, Oregon, Ohio St and a few others can likely afford their current ~20 million rosters year in and out but the majority of schools cannot sustain that. Also remember NIL isn't exclusive to football. There will always be one off situations where a donor gets motivated because the team is trash or has a glaring deficiency, like with this Michigan QB situation

Their is also the looming House decision that's going to put plenty of schools in a pickle because they don't have bread like that.
I also think they are more lowkey then some of the other donors because remember the backlash they got a couple years ago from the Charlie strong thing

They dont though :dahell:

Its a reason why those same SEC schools was getting away with the under the table shyt they did all those years. What SEC schools do yall think don’t have bread?

Have yall not seen the damn Arkansas booster club? :dahell:
Alabama definitely doesn’t have bread like that Arkansas has bread for pretty much the say reasons Texas and Oklahoma have bread they aren’t really comparable to the rest of the SEC
