I’ve been saying it for a while, but this is what i meant when i say the Jimmy and joes allow better X’s and O’s. @Ed MOTHERfukkING G

Michigan 2024 has the best defensive players from 2023 looking like the defense from 2008.

Xs and Os > Jimmys and Joes....all day

Been saying for years how these sites pander to the 10-12 fanbases that are obsessed with recruiting

This is why teams be getting fukked over because fans only care bout the rankings not actual film. That’s the one thing saban was so great at he would find 3 star dudes who were really 5 stars if you watched the tape. It’s no way in the world these sites have the time or resources to look at film of all the players in the country and accurately rank them

Always ik im a homer but the difference between sark year 1 and sark year 3 and 4 is literally just better players. I think the same will happen at bama if they give kalen time especially defensively

Also, re: football recruiting, it has to be extremely difficult to properly evaluating all these players b/c there's like 1000 players that need to be evaluated. It's not like hoops, where you can scout the top 100 or so guys. Not to mention, some players develop later, develop better under different coaches, etc.

How many nfl starting QBs were 5*s? like 5 out of 32? And some of those 5*s starters are scrubs or borderline scrubs

I'm wondering why this is so different compared to hoops? Seems like these days there are less and less "players from the hood" in high level basketball, most are from middle class or working class families at the very least. You don't see as many dudes the hood like there were even 10-12 years ago.

Is it purely #s or maybe the geographic regions the players come from? b/c hoopers seem to always have handlers/AAU coaches, etc. attached to them once they're like 14?

PSL at one point had the most pros, and is still top 3 or 4. Yet, I don't think there's a single (current) NBA player from a Detroit public school. Pershing used to have a 5* player every few seasons and always had high 4*s all the up til like 2011 or so.
