I keep on forgetting cal is in the ACC
cal goes out their way to schedule random SEC teams like auburn and ole miss and now their schedule opens up with more florida schools after whatever that FSU game was
oregon vs ucla is now a big 10 match up
so do ex-pac 12 teams automatically disqualify themselves from having a big 10 noon kick off game?
utah vs arizona is a big 12 match up, need some getting used to

yeah the conferences consolidated to the power 4.5 with the resurgence of the pac 12, but there's still not enough good quarterbacks to go around. it seems like a bunch of 'dual threat QBs' are just robust running backs who can throw instead of fragile arm cannons the other way around. half these players need prescription contacts cause they don't have depth perception or know basic trajectory physics to throw down the field. all those so-called 'accurate throwers' are playing at smaller west coast offense schools like fresno state or FCS powerhouses to risk less injury....or it was a business decision to play baseball or even basketball cause they have a greater qualifying chance for longevity in playing career in the league and better lifetime healthcare benefits and a pension after retirement, with less wear and tear on the body, for when life starts after football. football is still a warrior's sport and a lot of normal height QBs end up transitioning to becoming wide outs like julian edelman, hunter renfrow, and even lil b's doppelganger braxton miller (lmao) when in college. and there's not enough non-vertically challenged accurate quarterbacks that make the cut, which leaves a bunch of mediocre run-first tall game-managers who just dump it off on screen plays leading their teams in college, with a bunch of gimmicky RPO and not enough pro-style offenses for players to even understand NFL's speed and vernacular for how they process information differently
unless you're a coach's kid who got special training and got favors called in when you're young to develop good habits, with all the distractions of today society's computers and cell phone screens, there's just less runway to be bored to hone your talents in football, with all this NIL free agency going on for just plug-and-play players, and people defaulting to their training since high school to run some remedial ass peewee league/broken-ass play on the field and having their fanbase cope with it.
the MLB just need 43 days of games to achieve pension and 4 years of 'service' to achieve lifetime healthcare benefits compared to the NFL that needs 3 years to achieve pension and 5 years to achieve healthcare benefits, with way more reasons for players to get cut on the roster or not qualify due to career ending injuries....and this was waaay worse before players fought for the league to even admit to CTE. the average NFL career is 3 years and it's basically like a casino's statistical rigging for how only the survival of the fittest qualify for such payouts. there needs to be a developmental league for quarterbacks in high school (and not just the post-hoc cherry picked elite 11 or gatorade nominations) cause there's always a shortage in college every year to watch bad offenses or even bad defenses play. there's not even a national standard textbook/training guide for high school coaches to develop their talent and instead they mostly use gimmicky routines from coaching clinics to win games based on regional competition but the next level is someone else's teaching problem and headache, of why certain topics are redundant yet new to certain players dependent on what regions recruits are from.
with big money being thrown around coaching and betting stakes, high school and little league coaches are no longer doing it for the love of the sport or the ability to develop leadership in men based on how cowardly, contrived, and entitled the coaches act, which influences their players to act the same, but for how incentivized the coaches are able to win and weaponize dark human psychology to make players have reckless abandon on your coaching behalf, while being coupled with a bunch of bad faith imposter head coaches/figureheads and a few 'good' people underneath who actually knows what's really going on to fit all the puzzle pieces together, mixed in with CTE from the coaches' own playing days to hold a coherent press conference and have the right messaging to their kids after games.
there just needs to be a developmental pipeline to hone players and talent per age group -- and figure out earlier who's genetically predisposed to not be tall enough to play quarterback so to develop taller talent who can throw earlier so not all of them get weeded out by college for the QB scarcity to start then, which also makes some years in the league dismal to watch, with the lack of discovered and honed generational talent...lower the requirements for players to qualify for pension and healthcare benefits in the league and even at the college level given that we are paying them over the table and the brutal nature of the sport, and the NCAA need to adapt to not just default by raking in billions given these are no longer amateurs, so actually act like a new governing body instead of trying to uphold only the standards to only benefit themselves or go on some witch hunt just to exert their power just to scare off others so they can be kept in check as well, etc...and i really hated how deion sanders said that in order to find certain position players, you have to go into single mother households for them to hit harder incentivized by poverty as if football instead of school is a vehicle held over the student athlete's heads to get their family out of certain conditions; meanwhile, quarterbacks need to come out of stable family conditions to not salvage every play in order to make clear decisions and just throw the ball away in certain situations, etc in front of the white majority colorado beat reporters....baseball was invented by blacks and white boys took it over just to make it a cushy sport while the black dominated sports of the NBA and NFL barely have the same conditions to achieve healthcare coverage and pensions after retirement if it wasn't for certain players to be held as the face of the league, as this silent double standard in sports based on the undercurrent of what color dominates the sport to raise or lower the requirements to qualify for benefits driven by ownership greed to undervalue their own players and have a salary cap and a roster restriction like it was a socialism sport in a capitalistic society to ensure competition, etc...this is all wishful thinking, but whatever
