They got outbid for Judge. :mjlol:

And that was after Cohen gave them a present, when he promised not make an offer for Judge. Obvious click bait made up quotes. Hal and Cash sweating bullets hoping it's a big enough offer that keeps the fan base from ripping them to much

If you add up Shohei Ohtani's total offensive bWAR and total pitching bWAR so far in his career, it amounts to 43.8.

Mike Trout is at 86.2.

You guys don't know shyt about how good Mike Trout was. And you overrate how good Shohei Ohtani is.

Yeah man, how dare us overrate a soon to be 3x MVP doing shyt we've never seen before :unimpressed:

I'm glad we don't have to use our eyes to enjoy the game or players, just find math equations to say why one is better than the other :leon:

If you want to know why numbers matter....there's a nice long article on Fangraphs today detailing why Philadelphia Phillies 1B D'ck Allen belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Yes numbers matter but so do living through actual events, feeling the impact of them and enjoying the game instead of a constant comparative practice to win/start arguments that most fans aren't interested in having. I love baseball. I want to watch all the players do amazing things. I love when Trout is healthy playing every day. I've had more fun watching Shohei play baseball than Trout. Shohei is doing something literally not one of us living has seen an MLB player do. I don't need numbers to tell me what is fun nor do I really care about the who is better conversation because again, I just like baseball.

That's exactly why it's fair.

:what:

Imagine you compared 2 basketball players and one of them literally never played defense....and everyone said the two guys were equals.
If anything it shows how stupid that stat is. And besides Mike played 7 more seasons lol

So if Sho was in year 14 his war would be equal or better without playing defense

Why would you assume he'd keep up the same pace over those additional years?

they're getting ripped no matter what, only now fans can kinda blame Captain Boombox for why the team can't be trusted even if they pivot

Also, some Yankee fans aren't good at math. I've seen these offseason pivots where they try to spend $650 mil on other combined players forgetting that they're causing the payroll to skyrocket because the AAV would be over a shorter period of time.

So-Fla
Roki signing a minor league deal with the dodgers….would be like when the 114 wins Yankees traded for Clemens
