Clayton Kershaw hasn't really pitched a full season in 10 years.

He's got 9 straight seasons (well, 8 considering COVID) where he's made fewer than 30 starts.

And he's still 21st all time in Strikeouts.
He would almost definitely be Top 10 if he was healthy.

10. Justin Verlander (3,416)
21. Clayton Kershaw (2,968)

Willy Adams will get a huge contract and not live up to it at all
He's in the class of guys @tremonthustler1 is talking about when teams are like, "we don't want to pay one person that much; we'll spread it out." They end up spending more and still getting less production plus albatross contracts.

Adames has a career OPS of .766. If he signed for 3/$75 million, that'd be high but tolerable because the years are low. But he already got offered 7/$160 million. That's crazy for a guy who hasn't had an OPS above .800 in three years.

Kind of amused that people have a conservative view of what Willy Adames should get in free agency.

Only because he's got a stronger case for his contract than Jason Heyward had. And I got a lot of shyt for bashing that deal at the time.

It’s just a 29 year old infielder is gonna break down and he’s expecting a 7-10 year deal

I could see the giants try to do a 3-4 year deal
