Holmes has pitched 63 innings in each of the last two seasons.
If he's going to start games, it's hard to imagine them stretching him out much longer than 120 innings or so. That's probably what? 20-25 starts? Give or take? Basically what David Peterson gave them.
My first thought is maybe he's just going to hold down the fort until Christian Scott returns but Scott is going to be out all of 2025.
It's interesting. I imagine his K rate will take more of a hit since he won't be maxing it out for 1 inning now. And he already had difficulty missing bats last season.
