None of them will break 200 innings next year.

The Japanese pitchers probably don't hit 200 combined. Ohtani's arm is held together with bubble gum and prayers.

This is the pitching equivalent of adding Paul George's injury history to Embiid's sixers.

Everything about this year confirmed to the Dodgers that they don't need "innings eater" pitchers and can trust how they handle their bullpen. They got to and won the World Series. All they care about is the quality of stuff per inning.

Years ago they used to joke that baseball would devolve into nothing but relief pitchers every other inning.

And every year we get closer to that being a reality.

If Sasaki goes to the Dodgers, I won't be mad at the Dodgers but I'll definitely think less of Sasaki.
He'd be a fool not to. :yeshrug:

Go to the Dodgers and rack up the endorsements, then get a $400 million deal when he's a full free agent.

Burnes #’s are in a decline. Including (most alarming) his velocity.

Add to that the fact that Boras is insisting on 7/8 years means he’s gonna end up pitching for the angels or giants since they can’t seem to sign anybody.
His average cutter this year was 95.3 MPH. In 2021, when he won the Cy, it was 95.2 MPH. :gucci:

He never gets hurt either. There's no way you can say a guy like Snell, who averages about 120 IP per season is a better bet than Burnes.

Before they gave Snell that 36M AAV for 5 years.. hell yea I would’ve preferred him to Burnes. I was on the 3/75M train to Snell. Obviously I was way off. I didn’t see him getting this.

Either way, im staying away from Burnes. The velocity bit and overall downward trajectory was straight from ESPN, and an article I read on MLB.com. :yeshrug:
