Lindor needs to be made Captain if he can end the standoff and recruit Soto.

I said it in the Trevor Bauer thread but to repeat,

If there are more allegations against Bauer, make them public. If not, he belongs on a major league roster.

But the idea that Trevor Bauer is as famous as Shohei Ohtani is ...my goodness....Trump levels of delusion.
I don't even think Bauer would be a Top 10 pitcher in 2025, but he could add value to a rotation.

Long Enough to see them as Heros as opposed to Villans in the Past?:patrice:
Yankees will always be villains. But for them to be saying something about "its difficult for us owners to do what they're doing :sadcam:...." is rich coming from the evil empire.

I didn't think I would live long enough to see the yankees complain about another team spending...when they themselves could do it but refuse to.

Its like complaining about being outside during a rain storm and getting wet, when you could have taken an umbrella with you but chose not to.

Time changes things and nothing's forever like they say

Yankees will always undisputedly be a money printer. Them always being "the evil empire", well they don't operate like one and don't give public comments like one, like that one up there.

Enough time goes by and the further we get from the legendary runs, the more times they get passed on by targets, and the more disappointing seasons or blunders when making it to the world series they have, especially when there's a team at the start of a legendary run at the same time. The more the shift will be where the Yankees are looked at as more like adorable/toothless can't get rights than villains imo. Detroit Red Wings status.

Dodgers were lovable losers under the McCourts, now look. Mets have more of an empire vibe now and going forward than the Yankees do too. It needs more time and specifically the Mets winning more, but folks are gonna start having real talks about just how far NYY have fallen. They're kinda old worldly & uncool compared to the Dodgers & Mets right now, sounds silly but it matters
