Definitely take the L here. Roki proved to be a dikkrider, thought he would want a challenge. Winning as the ace of another franchise (possibly ending a drought) to me is better for your legacy than being the 3rd best Japanese player on the team who just won 2 in recent memory. :yeshrug:

Only mentioned Jays today because of the asinine Myles Straw/International Cap trade.
If he's as good in America he's better than Yamamoto. He's probably better than whatever arm Shohei has left at this point too

You're also American, I don't think the Japanese think or care about any of that shyt. And it's not like it affects his dollars or marketability playing with Ohtani and Yama

Yamamoto right now is balls deep in a white blonde pop star p*ssy, tell me anybody would know who the fukk he is the same way playing for the Blue Jays or Cubs :dead: It is what it is, the Dodgers set themselves up for a historic run here the next 3-5. The games still has to be played

I thought the Yoshi and Sabrina Carpenter rumors were BS :skip:

But that's what I posted earlier, you think he gonna turn down a chance to link up with his boys and hit the streets with Yoshi in Hollywood? He's 23

Shotani, sasaki & Yamamoto is an insane rotation that’s 3 aces

But factor in miller, glasnow, gonsolin, kershaw ,mays tf :mindblown:

I forgot about snell :ohhh: this is unprecedented

This is another reason he had to sign with the Dodgers. Maybe it wasn't his thinking, but his agent had to let him know how these teams use up pitchers and move on to the next one. In LA, they can have an eight-man rotation if they want. He'll be wildly protected from over-use with that team.

Hal and Assman are indirectly and partially to blame for this. We used to be an attractive spot for the Japanese players. I know they prefer the west coast due to the proximity to home, but the organization is no longer known as a team that goes all out to win and isn't a perennial legit contender like the Dodgers. At this point stop waking up the corpse of Matsui and Tanaka every winter to meet these youngsters, they dont care. Uncle Steve about to steal all the non Japanese free agent talent from us now.

LA plotted & planned to an all time team. But it didn't just happen, Boston traded Mookie, Braves & Yankees didn't want Freddie, etc. keep going down the line. Never see any fingers pointed at them though, it's mostly at Ohtani and the contract. But it's not like there's a salary cap anyway so who cares if he deferred,

Guggenheim coulda decided to pay whatever the tax would've been with Ohtani's full amount and that would've been that. Why wouldn't you want to be part of like this is the real question

Ya Cards got Fat while we Starved on The Streets
Its our turn:hubie:
And now we’re moving to “player development” and whatever other word salad management is using now to scale back on salary. We put 3 million into seats at Busch and had what was a billion dollar tv deal and trying to penny pinch. This shyt is hard as a life long Redbird.
