Pod 1: Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Arkansas
Pod 2: Oklahoma, Missouri, Ole Miss, Kentucky
Pod 3: Alabama, Auburn, Miss State, Florida
Pod 4: Georgia, Tennessee, Carolina, Vandy
There’s no chance on earth they split up Texas & OU.
Same with LSU/Bama, UGA/UF, UF/Tenn, Ole Miss/MSU
Unless there’s gonna be permanent crossover rivalries still, But they’d definitely have to go to 9 conference games

9 game schedule is definitely the way to go, that way most players can play each conference team while they’re in college.
Texas and OU can definitely be split up because there will be permanent crossover rivalries I believe.
So let’s say next year, Alabama’s SEC schedule is like this:
vs Auburn
vs Mississippi State
vs Florida
vs Texas A&M
vs LSU
vs Ole Miss
vs Missouri
vs Tennessee (Permanent Rival)
vs South Carolina
That’d be:
3 Pod opponents
2 Opponents from the other 3 pods including the permanent rival in Tennessee

See that’s the thing, I don’t wanna get rid of the LSU/Bama but the Tennessee/Bama game is heating up again too, of course Bama and LSU could be in the same pod.
The SEC title game will probably be decided by CFP rankings in that case, all 3 would be in the CFP but a bye in the playoffs might be at stake so it’d still be controversial.
