Idk about that, having a dominant DT, that you can move around the line is priceless, no slight on will, but his skill set is dependent on having some one to clean up the other side or Dt that’s dominant to get rid of double teams, and most plays happen so quick by time he’s around the corner the balls gone,

That #1 pick getting traded but it’s insane to think about Jalen Carter, Travon Walker, Jordan Davis, and Devonte Wyatt were all on that UGA DL at the same time. That’s 4 first round picks just on they DL alone

If he wins the heisman, Tom Allen needs to be fired at IU. Indiana will never be a truly elite team, but no excuse to be as bad as they are and for Penix to put up crazy numbers as soon as he got out of Bloomington is an indictment of Allen.

Tom was making miracles happen, but you can only make so much happen at Indiana, good coaches get poached, talent graduates, pennix getting hurt like twice didn’t help, but they beat psu and us (Michigan) one of them years

Well penix put up crazy numbers AT bloomington. Allen is doing about as good as you possibly can at indiana. With Penix he was able to go 8-5 and 6-2. That is actually amazing there. Indiana hadn't won 8 games since 1988. He just got LUCKY with Penix. Indiana is a 5 win season program, and always has been.

One of the coaches on staff had a relationship with him, and got on Allen’s staff or something, so they brought him in, same story for Washington

Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati had their opportunities though, even if they were outmatched at times.

FSU and UF would have more chips. Urban had his issues but the sheer waves of talent he and later Muschamp recruited were special. Jimbo would have pulled that South Alabama talent that he lost at the last minute(ex. Julio Jones) and had an even stronger juggernaut. Mark Right and Georgia would have won during that period also with Aaron Murray.
