Schedule for 2024 Playoff

The College Football Playoff, among other things within the sport, is expanding in 2024.

CFP executive director Bill Hancock has released scheduling times for the expanded playoff, which begins next season. The first round of the CFP is to be played in the third week of December, with one game being played on Friday and three on Saturday. The semifinals will be held during the midweek to avoid running into the NFL playoffs.

Three quarterfinals for 2024 are expected to be played on New Year’s Day and one will be played on New Year’s Eve or Jan. 2. Hancock added “that’s the direction” things are heading, but it is not finalized. Quarterfinal sites for the 2024 College Football Playoff will be the Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Peach Bowl and Rose Bowl.
