But the Pacers just signed him to an extension and should be also giving something to dump that contract.

I think this is more of orgs being on the same page of keeping his value down instead of anything else lol...
Playing time, practice, etc is only a big deal when its convenient. Teams really pick and choose when that sort of thing matters.
Knicks seem adamant about getting another wing. They already interviewed Mathurin, Sochan and Malakhi branham. I guess they have confidence in getting a point guard through free agency.
