Hopefully with the way things shook out that this is a draft where teams move up and down.

Spurs need to secure Duren (even though Portland should take him) and swap 9/25/38 for 7

Pistons should offer 5/lotto protected first that eventually becomes unprotected in 5 years for 4.

Pelicans should shop 8 potentially.

OKC should move down to 17 (Houston) and get one of those Nets picks down the road.

Brooklyn needs to defer.

Memphis needs to package everything for a Tyus Jones replacement /Ja handcuff

Can care less about the pistons dropping to 5. Chet is the obvious prize (even with his big ass red flag) . Banchero and Smith Jr ain’t some game changing talents and I think they’ll be varying levels of disappointment.

Give me Ivey or Sharpe at 5 and I’m fukking thrilled .

Or just straight up trade the shyt

Weaver needs to do all his homework on Sharpe because the idea is that he could be top 3 next year if he bowed out, but he's a wild unknown, so if he sucks, now you have TWO Killian Hayeses.

The way it shook out, at least Mathurin is safe enough to pair with Cunningham and feel happy about it.

OK. In hindsight, I don't think my mock draft was upended too much, but Hammond needs to go with the person that helps his team the most and not think Giannis is in every draft.

So for my latest mock,
1. Orlando Magic- Paolo Banchero, F, Duke
2. Oklahoma City Thunder- Chet Holmgren, F, Gonzaga
3. Houston Rockets- Jabari Smith, F, Auburn
4. Sacramento Kings- Jaden Ivey, Purdue
5. Detroit Pistons- Benedict Mathurin, G, Arizona
6. Indiana Pacers- Keegan Murray, F, Iowa
7. Portland Trail Blazers- Jalen Duren, C, Memphis
8. New Orleans Pelicans- Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky
9. San Antonio Spurs- Jeremy Sochan, F, Baylor
10. Washington Wizards- Dyson Daniels, G, Ignite
11. New York Knicks- TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky
12. Oklahoma City Thunder- A.J. Griffin, F, Duke
13. Charlotte Hornets- Mark Williams, C, Duke
14. Cleveland Cavaliers- Johnny Davis, G, Wisconsin
15. Charlotte Hornets- Ochai Agbaji, G, Kansas
16. Atlanta Hawks- Ousmane Dieng, F, New Zealand
17. Houston Rockets- Kennedy Chandler, G, Tennessee
18. Chicago Bulls- Malaki Branham, G, Ohio State
19. Telosa Wolves- Nikola Jovic, F, Serbia
20. San Antonio Spurs- Tari Eason, F, LSU
21. Denver Nuggets- Blake Wesley, G, Notre Dame
22. Memphis Grizzlies- Jean Montero, G, Overtime Elite
23. Brooklyn Nets- Christian Koloko, C, Arizona
24. Milwaukee Bucks- Kendall Brown, F, Baylor
25. San Antonio Spurs- Ismael Kamagate, C, France
26. Dallas Mavericks- Ryan Rollins, G, Toledo
27. Miami Heat- E.J. Liddell, F, Ohio State
28. Golden State Warriors- Leonard Miller, F, Canada
29. Memphis Grizzlies- MarJon Beauchamp, G/F, Ignite
30. Oklahoma City Thunder- Jaden Hardy, G, Ignite
I can see Ivey slipping.

Not lower than 5. Weaver mighta considered Ivey at 1 and he's been looking for his own Westbrook. Also, Indiana fans might revolt if Ivey passes the Pacers even though they don't really need him.

It's more likely Sacramento takes a haul for that 4th pick and someone takes Ivey for themselves than him slipping.

At the very least, 2 and 3 are not options for Ivey.

Murray and Sharpe might leapfrog him :patrice:

They’re both wings and SAC might roll the dice on Sharpe.. Murray a forward

He’d probably not get past NOLA

Keegan is basically another Barnes

I could see Sacramento intrigued by Sharpe. That's partly why I think they should swap with Detroit. Both teams get what they want.

EDIT: had they stayed at 7, AJ Griffin woulda been a good get.

You don't like Johnny Davis too much, or just too many wings ahead of him ?

Watched a lot of big ten this year, he's really good
