Completely different reasons, but the complacency with the coaching staff is what's killing Alabama/Clemson more than ever. These dudes were at the front in that regard during those natties in the middle of last decade; ain't been like that since.

Brandon Streeter shouldn't be a coordinator for anyone, much less a top 4 team...and Bill O'Brien/that Golding dude. On a team with less talent than Alabama, that combo might win you sub 6 games.
Bama, yes…, it’s a glaring issue

clemson has a talent Issue nor coaching

Playing for someone you love to play for will raise the floor.
True. Caddy had them boys playing hard, the team gave up on Harsin. If Harsin was still coaching that game last night would’ve ended in a blowout

Bama and clemson both have an average wr core. For a while clemson and bama were like wide receiver u

hopkins, watkins, tee higgins, amari rodgers, mike williams, justyn ross, cornell powell, ray ray mccloud

And bama well to many names to list but you know what I mean. Now these dudes they have can't get separation, tough catches? They ain't making any. They are relying on the shipleys and gibbs out of the backfield

As well clemson was the only team outside the service academies to not dabble in the transfer portal and its coming back to bite em
