Some interesting takeaways….Nebraska fans loyal af, been ass for 15+ years and still highly viewed, more than USC & UCLA combined. USC fans fickle as hell, below Illinois in viewership….Illinois has had 1 decent season in about 30 years, usc was in the rose bowl within the last 4 seasons

ND lower than expected but that’s bc they’re playing that trash ass ACC schedule with no big match ups

3 Big Ten East teams in the top 4, and 4 in the top 8…

An incredibly average, 8 win PSU season outdraws UGA’s title winning, best season in 40+ years…

Football is taken differently in different regions, and some teams are truly only rockin if they winning, I’d be interested to see them through the Pete years i bet it be higher, didn’t think it was that many Illinois fans :russ:

It’s not just the NIL stuff, he had Oregon signing the #1 overall recruit with top 10 classes. While he was at Bama, I think they signed 4 straight #1 classes.

Dude can flat out recruit.

Illinois likely has a bigger alumni base, and like you mentioned, football will always be big in the Midwest and especially the south, so much other shyt to do in SoCal on an October afternoon while in the Midwest it might be 40 degrees.

I have no doubt, any man that can get kids to Oregon, can get them to Miami, the money enhances and flips fringe kids. They putting the full court press on Miami kids

Those playoff appearances felt hollow because everyone knew they had no chance going against teams like Alabama and Clemson. He had talent, but not nearly enough to even be competitive against those teams. If him and his staff worked harder in recruiting those games could've been different. There was nothing stopping him from recruiting the way Freeman is now except
It’s easy to pick apart a 10 year coaching tenure, Freeman hasn’t even coached his first full year it’s easy to just sell him on his future.

Honestly I just don’t believe ND can compete against the heavyweights in todays CFB. Particularly against elite teams in the South. Brian Kelly max ND out

Naw now I do appreciate Brian Kelly for bring back ND to National relevance but In freeman first full year of recruiting he is on track to have a higher recruiting class than Kelly ever had Kelly highest class was 6 ND is currently number 1 with more kids rumor to sign
