u can’t live off your name, because those old days are over… other schools are able to be on national tv and these kids know that.. so there’s no problem going to Texas a&m or Oregon as a California kid, cause they on tv as well

I think that USC is on a budget crunch right now, plus they are still recovering from the academic scandal so they have to stick with Helton for the time being. Texas can’t control their boosters so any decent coach is going to avoiding coaching there.

region still hurts teams, that’s some of the reasons why Nebraska and Missouri has been down, they used to get Texas kids, but with no ties to Texas in the case of Nebraska, and probably playing A&M once every 5-6 years in the case of Missouri it’s kept them from getting some kids, also A&M can boast playing in the Sec. the biggest issue is you have bigger fish currently hunting in their ponds(look at the Florida schools suffering), everyone raids Texas, And Cali, but Texas still gets quality dudes, they just not crem de la crem, California as a region has fallen off, they aren’t producing studs like they were known for, but the decent ones getting snatched up, also because people have moved so much, other regions are popping up, Arizona now, expect Nashville to get there. Usc biggest issue is the money stopped, because they don’t believe in clay, i suspect when they get a coach the money likes they may be alright, it’s still usc it’s still in los angles, I think Texas getting the sec boost will help, and hinder some of Texas A&M’s momentum.

I’ll also add Texas is not doing itself any favors with the eyes of Texas shyt, it’s got the money divided, and recruits looking at Texas funny

He must really love her but if this was me, I would have waited another week to proposed. Can’t have the best moment of my life coming during a losing fashion.

not gon lie I’m right there with you, but he might have had other things in the plans, so it was go time no matter what, more power to him cuz i can’t imagine, the worst loss in my schools history is when I’d want to profess my love

What is Texas doing wrong? They’re recruiting at a high level and hiring the big name coaches

Star chasing. Can’t remember who the player or school they ultimately committed to but there was a 4/5 star kid who got a Bama offer. Sat on it and played the recruit game. Bama moved on to a three star because he was just as good as a fit as the 4/5 star guy and he was bought in. They go for upside, fit, and buy-in, stars be damned. Texas could learn from that. Also, stop being enamored with white boys at QB who went to school in Austin or Southlake

Texas has sucked on both lines since about 2011. Thats it period. Few players drafted. N little development. Few guys that were really nasty. Name a football team with mediocre linemen..................
