They get played out after a while cause folks talk about the same thing (fire coach xxx, old nikkas waxing poetic about years of yesterday, “sources” talk, etc). It’s just message board/podcast in Twitter form
How would ya'll feel about this idea? I think I like it..
Yeah it would help with opt outs but I don’t think opt outs should be any part of the focus when trying to revamp the playoff system. Simplify it by making it the 5 power champs and a at large. You wanna try and convince opt outs staying 1st espn shows and pundits have to stop making the playoffs 24/7 end all be all with their college football coverage( even though that’s the case). Put more emphasis on the tradition of some of these other bowls. Need to break up the monopoly espn has over the playoffs and bowls.

I can't support any system where you don't play your way into the playoffs or championship, or get in thru rankings or selection..play your way in like every other sport.

Yeah it’s the media and talking heads fault more than anything. From the offseason to the first game of the year the only thing they talk about is playoffs. If that’s the only thing that matter then why play in the postseason if my team ain’t make the playoffs?
