I stand corrected, he's biyombo with no defense. His offense consists of dunks....and that's pretty much it. His age is also concerning for a lottery pick. Since 2004, lottery picks drafted at 22 or older have been busts. The outliers are Hield and Noah
you realize it took biyombo 5 years to learn how to catch a ball right? they got nothing in common

call him earl clark or something :mjlol: biyombo to this day couldn't put up those numbers in a college game

Wasserman has some updates (I'll say this though: a lot of this shyt is sketchy because as someone who listens to his Podcast regularly, this sounds more like his opinion rather than stuff executives told him.

NBA Draft Buzz: If Top Pick Isn't Traded, Sources Expect LaMelo Ball to Go First

This was the dead giveaway regarding his rumors
Onyeka Okongwu over James Wiseman?

Wiseman started the season as a No. 1 overall candidate, while Okongwu was mostly off NBA rankings as a 6'9", non-shooting center. But Bleacher Report has talked with multiple scouts who've moved Okongwu over Wiseman.

We made the move in November. But what matters most are the teams picking No. 2-10.

At this stage, Wiseman's case is mostly built around measurements, considering he played just three games at Memphis and did most of his damage as a finisher and shot-blocker. But Okongwu averaged 16.2 points and 2.7 blocks for the season, wowing with athletic plays, 94th-percentile post scoring, touch (15-of-35 half-court jumpers, 72.0 percent free-throws) and defensive activity/versatility.

As enticing as 7'1" size and 7'6" length sound, being big doesn't generate the same love and reaction as it once did.

We reported earlier there is a belief that Wiseman could fall in the No. 5-9 range.

He's been saying he doesn't think Wiseman should go any higher than 10 because he's no higher than 10 on his personal big board. He's been higher on Okongwu than Wiseman all season, but I don't think that's coming from other scouts necessarily. I think Golden State would take Toppin before Okongwu.

i dont know if wasserman is a common last name in his community (jewish?) but ive been trying to figure out if he has any family ties to the agency group and if thats how he gets his info.

a couple of the bay area media folks ive heard/watched think obi is a no brainer at 2

He used to work for NBA Draft.net. Not sure if he's related to the agency in any way.

Obi to me was a no-brainer for the better part of the season (peep my past mocks. I've had Obi to them for a long time until the order changed.

Golden State at 2 should just be between Wiseman or Toppin.

If they're trading down, then BPA and then they can think about Avdija or Vassell or whoever.

As what? He’s a 22 year old PF/C. Unless he can’t shoot or rebound in the NBA he should be fine.

And Killian Hayes should be seriously considered as high as #1. Not sure why Golden State would be interested though.
Steph has always played well next to other PG's Jack/Livingston...Hayes actually makes some sense as a 3rd guard...Honestly don't know why Minnesota isn't checking for him...they must be sold on Edwards

These scouts over think themselves. I think giving them extra time just makes it worse. So wiseman is suddenly behind Okongwu as a prospect...I get that wiseman only played 3 games but is it possible to have them maybe matchup? Or even wait until the measurements are out.

but than again they get paid to make these decisions

Pandemic or not, I’m not sure you’ll see top prospects do that anymore. It’ll just be 1 man workouts.

My issue is that now scouts expect every big man prospect to be Dirk Nowitzki with defense since everyone wants to use a five out offense.

In a trade down, sure, but at #2 with a gaping hole at center and a sure fire guard next year, they should address the best way they can have some size on the court.
