Neither of the big East top three players were drafted (Tyshon Alexander, Myles Powell, Markus Howard)

Tough night.

Obi is a guy who I think will only be effective if you run the offense through him. I'm not sure if the Knicks want to do that with Barrett there.

Even if he carves out a Enes Kanter type of role in the league that would be a waste of his potential IMO although Kanter is good.

And what has rj done in his rookie yr that any offense should be run thru him...he has several issues in his game he needs to work on before complaining about anything

Washington getting lucky. They drafted hachimura last year and now avdija who looked very good in maccabi final games of previous season, that kid looks very promising, didn't he impress the warriors staff also?

Both look best suited for the 4 tho. Which one of them guards the 3......not sure either are quick enough. Also unless Rui improves his jumper, playing them together will cause major spacing issues

Hopefully Rui makes strides and becomes more consistent all around. Need to re-sign Bertans. With Wall back & Beal this offense has a chance to really be a problem because they were lighting teams up last year. Defensively just horrific but maybe try & move guys like Troy Brown & Thomas Bryant for some much needed defensive help down low. Wagner is good depth but also plays no D lol. I like the pick because at 9 who did you expect to get?

I'd agree, but you gotta start making good on these picks somehow and I think that's the way to go.

If Toppin comes in as an immediate impact player, great, but I think it'll hurt more in the long run. I think they should start giving the keys to Barrett and if he flops then other guys can be given the keys later.
