Are teams really going to mortgage up first round picks and future assets just to get off of bad contracts and mitigate the losses of COVID-19? I mean it's really just one year before the summer of 2021 when the majority of them will have plenty of cap space. Why give up those assets for a short term gain?

If you have a Kentucky Wildcat as part of your core (or a good core in general), I wish you luck tonight. Hopefully Cleveland doesn't get the 1st pick :hhh:

Wiseman's decision to not finish out the season in Memphis keeps looking worse and worse. It will literally be over a year where he has played no meaningful basketball at all.

It doesn't matter. He went and had a pro off-season once he couldn't play anymore and he showed he's talented.

If teams are stupid enough to pick him later than he should that's on them. As long as he is in the league and gets a chance to play that's all that's relevant. Giannis isn't hurting from being the 15th pick. As long as you have opportunity.

So is James Wiseman just a Ayton clone?

He's a better defensive big than Ayton but not a specialist at all. He's also just a bigger dude in general. So Ayton gives you more offense, he gives you more defense, but that doesn't mean he's good on defense, just better than Ayton on defense.

Right now he reminds me of Deandre Jordan, but I'm not sure how polished he is. He may be better than Jordan was as a shooter or post player, but small sample size makes it hard to tell
