What numbers are you looking at? Bauer has a lower ERA, WHIP and more IP and Ks. Lower opponent OPS as well. Bauer leads those two in everything.

Why? Do you look at xBA for offensive players?

I love xFIP, etc for projections...but there's something to be said for quantifiable performance. I'm not going to discount a no-hitter because the pitcher got BABIP lucky all night. The result is real, even if it's not sustainable
