W\L is a terrible way to judge a pitcher. Just look at Degrom. Mets don’t deserve him at all.

I think it is still a stat that you can look at. If you are winning games it means you are likely putting your team in position to win and if you lose games sometimes if the offense doesn't have it you have to carry them.

Unless your run support is like 2 runs a game :russ:

You can keep the stat, but it shouldn’t determine how good a pitcher is. There’s enough advanced stats out there. But all these voters are like our government. Old and outdated

It's essentially irrelevant to pitcher performance. Pitching to the score is a bullshyt excuse for shytty pitchers who rack up wins

How many bad pitchers are getting 15+ wins in a season tho? A couple?

More bad pitchers get 15+ wins than post a sub-3.00 ERA over 180+ innings.

There is no reason to use W-L record to judge a pitcher's performance. It tells you nothing.
