Lol I know what a S&C coach does and the position itself is important for every sports team obviously. My point was that it's not like it takes a ton of talent or genius to be S&C coach like it does a OC, DC, etc
I've never heard anyone complain about a S&C coaching hire lol and all of those guys are nameless to 99% of fans so obviously they aren't THAT important

If S&C coach ain’t hard then neither is being a OC or DC. All they doing is calling random plays from a sheet and praying that it works

I cant believe folks don't think S&C coaches are important. That's insane. Size, Strength, explosiveness, agility, injury prevention, body maintenance, etc
Hey coach, I want you to take this incoming Fr RB, and put 15 pounds of muscle on him, while making him bigger, faster, stronger, quicker, and faster.
And while youre at it, were moving that OLB to DE, so put 20 pounds of muscle on him. BTW, his upper body strength is good, but hes gonna need to add size and strength to his posterior chain to deal with these OL head up.
And that's just two players out of 85 players on ship.

Cochran's injury prevention was awful he has no idea what he is doing when it comes to that, all he knew how to do was make dudes swole af. Bama provides all the best nutrition(which is half the battle) and the world class facilities. The main job of the S&C staff is to create a culture and relationship with the players that makes them want to work out. The other stuff like coming up with workout and meal plans could be done by any personal trainer/nutritionist out there
And Saban does what he does best and ran him off like every other coach
