Anybody remember when Jace Amaro had 90+ catches and 1000+ yards as a tight end but was snubbed as a Mackey Award finalists because Texas Tech didn't line him up at a traditional tight end spot enough?

watching tcu/texas game and had a thought
with cfb having playoffs, and u got the group of 5 conferences
sure being in major conference is better look

but is tcu really more successful in big 12 now than if they would've stayed in mountain west?
