I cant speak to anything else, but I feel like people understate the revenge angle when hypothetically discussing USC/Aub. That ass kicking was on every Auburn fan's mind coming into 2004, that I talk to. I have to think Tubbs powderpuff ass woulda at least been able to hype the squad up for that.

I feel like an IB rematch in 2013 woulda lessened the value of the original one tbh. In transparency sakes, I think Bama probably would've won, but either way, there's no way it could've been better than the first.

I remember that before Auburn won the SEC title and Ohio State lost the big ten ship in 13, they were talking about a potential IB rematch in the Sugar Bowl (the BCS title game was pretty much set to be FSU/Ohio State had both teams won their conference ships)
