According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Gary
will only weigh in at Michigan’s Pro Day today, standing on his numbers from the Scouting Combine.
That should suffice. The 6-foot-4, 277-pound Gary ran a 4.58-second 40-yard dash and had a 38-inch vertical and a 10-foot broad jump, the kind of explosiveness that typically comes from much smaller men.
The Giants also met with Gary at the aforementioned combine, where he referred to himself as the “best player in the draft” and said he’d love to return to New Jersey and play for his hometown team.
“I’m the best player in this draft, offensively or defensively. Period,” Gary said at the NFL Combine. “I’m a Jersey kid, so being able to go back to play for the home team … and win games would mean a lot. It would be a great thing.”
Widely considered a top 10 prospect heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, Gary would make sense for the Giants, who are in desperate need of pass rushers even after signing defensive end/linebacker Markus Golden on Thursday nigh
