He wasn't one of the players taking plays off. He had an legit ankle injury that lingered through most of the season. I think he's a good back. FSU never has bum RB's. But the hype that came with him I didn't understand.

I think it was @Woodwerkz who said Saban suggested Ettinne to Clemson, and that’s where that last minute push came from. Ettinne was bama’s Back up plan if Najee Harris had flipped to Michigan.

So word is that RB Travis Etienne, who committed to Clemson, was Alabama's back up if they didn't land Najee Harris. After knowing Harris was theirs and Clemson looking for a RB take after having Richardson decommit (really his grades were garbage and Dabo them said nah)... Saban hit Dabo up and put us on his radar because he didn't want LSU to get him.

Yeah camps are good but it doesn't really mean anything. Countless players killed camps and you didn't hear much from them after that. Don't get me wrong. I think he's a good back but I didn't think he was all that.
Plus too many FSU were fans trying to compare him to Dalvin. I knew he wasn't going to be nowhere close to him.

Yeah it's all Willie's fault to the idiots out there.
I remember all these morons were talking about what had Willie done in his career and that he had a losing record when FSU hired him.
Non football knowledge having mutha fukkas couldn't see that he fixed programs that were a mess and that were in dire straits when he got there. Every place he left they were way better. After watching this video I'd say it was a big mess.
