Gundy has only finished T10 2x an has only won a conference title once in 14 seasons. They lay claim to the 2011 national title smh

Leach has only finished in the T25 once since coming to Wazoo.

These rankings are more about likeability once you get outside the top 4 if anything

Leach is a genius easily the best offensive mind in college he would be higher on my list. Give him a few 4 star recruits and he would be really scary. Having success at wazzu is obviously a lot harder than having success almost anywhere else

It really is hard to rank coaches after like the top 5 because everyone's situation is different. Just because you have success at a small school, doesn't mean you're a top tier coach. Expectations and opponents and recruiting changes once you become a coach at a top P5 school.

If he doesn’t get it together this year, it’ll be time to start rethinking his coaching career.

I’m guessing that they are ranking some coaches off of total body of work, but look if he tired of Beverly Hills he can come on back to Eugene

I love Coach O, but he is the very definition of a "figure-head" coach. He's a great recruiter and motivator, and he can shmooze it up with the best of them. But there's a reason why our staff is so overpaid.

On a side note: I don't know what a high rated freshman have to do to not have his grades right after the fall of his freshman year other than just not going to class.
