Clemson just started recruiting at a top of cfb level this past year

They’ve been closer to 10th in recruiting rankings under Dabo then 1st most years Which is solid but not anywhere near what Bamas done.

If you look they have like 10-15 3 stars on a lot of their rosters while Bama has maybe 1 lol

They develop talent as well as anyone.

But the FSU game killed Clemsoning.

I'd say the LSU game just because the program couldn't get over that hump of beating a big name team. Sure it was a meaningless bowl, but you can't tell me most lsu fans didn't think they were gonna smack us. The ND game was crucial as far as championships go.

Yeah I was more referring to Championship era Clemson, it was a little shocking when y’all beat LSU though, everybody thought Clemson didn’t have a chance after they gave up 70 the year before against WVU.

I kind of have a different take... I think what really got over the hump was when they started getting next level qbs. They did alright with Tahj Boyd and those types, but when Watson took over they went next level. Like last year, they made it pretty far with Kelly Bryant, but took was a true contender when Lawrence took over.

At least that’s what I think.

Edit: that LSU Peach bowl was all on Les Miles outdated ground and pound style. I don’t think he ever made an adjustment the whole time he was here.

I stopped believing in Peters when he slid 1 or 2 yards short of a first down in that bowl game against South Carolina a couple years back I was legit all he had to do was lower his shoulder and he had it and besides McCaffrey got next and Milton after him

In all fairness, dude had been getting drilled all damn game long, and he even fukked his shoulder up. I get what you’re sayin tho.. but damn. That OLine was fukkin hideous.

LSU game to me because it was the first time they showed they could beat an elite team.

Before that they were not just losing but seemingly getting killed by top teams.

I remember them giving up like 100 points to West Virginia in a bowl game

The church is the school. It's not an outside entity that doesn't separate itself from the university. Just like Liberty. Totally different set of circumstances than Clemson.
