well LSU beat the team (aubrun) that beat Oregon. How do you defend that?
No need to. Oregon won their conf champ and LSU didn’t the discussion ends there. It was only a discussion with Bama if Tua is hurt or out against LSU. But you could argue LSU was at home and Oregon played them on a neutral field

5 weeks left and a lot of football to be played. 14 teams remain in the hunt for the playoffs if they win out, even if some chances are slim.

ACC - 1

Teams (Remaining potential ranked games + situations needed to make it)

Control their own destiny

SEC

#1 LSU (#2 Alabama CCG: #6 Florida / #8 Georgia)

#13 Minnesota (#5 Penn State, #19 Iowa, #18 Wisconsin CCG: #3 OSU/#5 PSU/#14 Michigan)

ACC

#4 Clemson (#23 Wake Forest)

May need help, may not depending on the CFP committee

Pac-12

#7 Oregon (CCG: #9 Utah and needs a Bama/LSU/Clemson to take a bad loss)
#9 Utah (CCG: #7 Oregon and needs a Bama/LSU/Clemson to take a bad loss)

Definitely needs help and highly unlikely

#10 Oklahoma (Needs a Bama/LSU/Clemson/Oregon/Utah to take a bad loss CCG: #12 Baylor)
#12 Baylor (Needs a Bama/LSU/Clemson/Oregon/Utah to take a bad loss CCG: #10 Oklahoma)

B1G

#14 Michigan (Penn State lose to Minnesota and 2 other conference games + Ohio State lose one other conference game + a LSU/Bama/Clemson bad loss CCG: #13 Minnesota/#18 Wisconsin/#19 Iowa)

i disagree with Baylor, if they go undefeated they will make the playoffs 100% lock. There has never been an undefeated CC in the playoff history that hasn't made it.

If we beat #1 LSU and I hear someone say that LSU was overhyped or overrated I'm giving them the Vick bros special on sight, either I'm gone stomp em out or get a dog to handle my lightweight, not trying to hear that bullshyt this year :camby:

If y’all win and that game ends up being uninteresting again CBS is literally going to put a hit out on somebody and kill someone

There's an argument there, but Clemson is barely holding onto the top 4 as an undefeated champion. OU would be a bigger win than any of Clemson's, so maybe. Baylor also played Rice, UTSA, and FCS SF Austin.

I don't see the committee putting them in over

1. 13-0 SEC Champ LSU or Bama
2. 13-0 B1G Champ Ohio State or Penn State
3. 13-0 ACC Champ Clemson

4. 12-1 Pac-12 Champ Oregon (especially if Auburn finishes 9-3 which is better than an 9-3 OU)
5. 11-1 Alabama or LSU

That’s probably why they didn’t pick ALA-LSU as the night game, only four of the ALA-LSU prime time games have been close (2011, 2012, 2014, and 2016).
