Could Baylor go undefeated and get shut out the playoffs

Yeah, they'd need Michigan or Wake Forest to provide the assist. Oklahoma would be the only credible victory on their schedule and they won't leapfrog an undefeated Clemson (has an arguably weaker schedule). Hell, Oklahoma would need to go 10-3 (two losses to Baylor) in order for that win to remain credible.

My question is if Baylor goes undefeated, where is Matt Rhule coaching next season?

Taking a team from 1-11 to 13-0 in a P5 conference won't go unnoticed.

Clemson is a lock if they win out, no way they leave the defending champs out, it would be a PR disaster.

Beating OU twice(presumably), Iowa State, Kansas State And Texas will a much Stronger resume than the ACC undefeated champ

it’s not committee job to navigate PR they should be selecting the 4 most deserving teams

All that noise was just talking points.

Most seasons, 1-loss P5 champs will remain in the hunt for the playoffs as long as it wasn't a Purdue/Iowa-type loss. Especially if ND isn't a non-factor like this year.
