So why is Doncic not playing?

Luka Doncic has yet to make his NBA Summer League debut. He might have to wait a little bit longer.

The Dallas Mavericks have to cut through a whole slew of red tape before the 19-year-old Doncic can finally play for them. First, they had to negotiate a buyout with Real Madrid, his European club, which was reportedly agreed to this weekend.

Next, Doncic must get a letter of clearance from FIBA, pass a physical and sign his contract. He still has not gone through the entire process.
