I’m surprised they didn’t secure Trae or MPJ. Must be saving the cash for guys like Zion, RJ next year

They offered Trae first, maybe they started upping the $ once they couldn't secure him.

Honestly, I am sure NY would strongly consider Frank N and #9 for #4. No one is interested in that Parsons deal and NY like Brooklyn is fighting for 2019 FA.

I been telling ya, they telling teams, they want close value for the #4 as if Parsons ain't attached. They told Dallas to offer Barnes and Dallas stop taking their calls. Memphis gonna take Carter Jr. I don't see any other option if they don't become more reasonable.
If Frank's potential is low in regards to league opinion, why would the 9 & Frank be good enough for the 4th pick?

If you were Memphis, would any of y'all think Frank & the 9 is fair value for the 4th pick considering the high ceiling of the options at 4?

Do y'all think the Knicks would've been trying to trade DSJ right now if they drafted him over Frank Nicotine last year? :sas2:

And if they move up to draft Mo Bust. :mjlol:

The answer to this question is more about the fact that we don't expect much out of Memphis FO, they wanna get out of Parsons contract, they've expressed desire to continue to be a middling team, the best players at #4 for them to pick are bigs that they don't really need, and they likely could get a player at #9 that they would take at #4.

By getting rid of Parsons they could get a guy that's probably #2 on their draft board at #9 and still add a pretty decent player in FA to help them continue to be mediocre and be 7th seed every year.

Tbf just about everyone who does this for a living loves Luka.

Doesn’t mean he’s gonna be a superstar but neither does random fans who haven’t seen him but think he’s gonna be a bust becaus he’s euro and not a freak athlete

I have Doncic 2nd on my big board so it doesn’t apply to me.

The people who do it for a living rely on luck in their evaluations just like you or me.

Not really but I clearly think it's better than adding Parsons contract. Looking at it. Lee and
Thomas is overpaid as well. Maybe Memphis is not getting enough

Getting them out of the Parson deal should be a blessing for them. Dallas is 5, so they think they can steal Barnes and get out of the Parsons deal

Trae only got 1.8 yearly though. If they gave Bagley and Ayton a bag you figure they could beat that Adidas Trae deal.

"If MPJ is selected before # 9 I know for a fact that the Suns Knicks have a hand shake deal. Suns will trade #16 + Bender + 2019 Milwaukee pick (If not conveyed Knicks will have rights to swap with 2019 Suns #1 protected) for #9. Confident enough to back it up with gold."

Bender just a throw in?

That Bucks pick won't convey next year, and I don't think you can confidently send out your 2019 first rounder only top 1 protected if you're Phoenix.

Who knows if this is true or not though.
