I been broke the news on HS this morning from connects. It's confirmed. He's the pick. The draft starts at 4. MEM leaning to Carter Jr but in reality are trying to trade #4. We are in the mix but their asking price is steep. They want a quality asset and for us to take the full damn Parsons' contract. We the only team that can do it since we got no meaningful cap holds. I'm thinking Doncic is the pick...I keep hearing how much Sacramento loves Bagley and how the other top picks (Bamba, JJJ, Doncic) haven't even worked out for them or given them their medicals. It's a good chance Bagley won't be availableat #3
That said, Bamba has been the target since the workouts. His team and Atlanta has been in contact. It seems likely at this point once MEM and ATL agree on comp.
That said, I wonder how the rest of the draft gonna go. We still got 3 others picks in the top 35. We gucci to be frank. I am sure we gonna move up. The goal is to get as much great talent as possible.
He's an idiot. Luka was never a big target for SAC. It was Porter and once he universally became a redshirt like Giles. It was obvious. Besides, all of the players were lobbying for Bagley and he wanted to be there. They had questions about the fit and taking the ball out of Fox hands with Doncic.
Pierce actually was campaigning after the workout for Bamba at 3. The thing is, Doncic slides to #4, the value of that pick goes up. At #4, it's fairly decent. Business wise, Atlanta had to choose Doncic even if Bamba is the BPA. You can control the terms of a trade now if MEM is willing to trade #4.

I remember seeing JR hit like 15 off balance 3s in a row, not trying, no rim, before a nuggets game. shyt is insane how good these dudes really are. But yeah that’s why I said has the potential to be. He hit a few corner 3s last year, but at this point it’s something you hope for from him, not count on.

Most perimeter guys aren’t great defenders in the league. That’s whe there’s such a premium on guys that can guard multiple positions on the perimeter right now.
But perimeter guys get away with it more because
A. They’re more efficient on the other end.
B. There’s a big difference between a perimeter guy not being a good defender and Kevin Love just being on skates for 4 games trying to guard anyone in the finals.
