If I were Dunn and LaVine I'd be insulted if they went with a guard. They made that trade with the belief that they have 3 locked up starters. Why opt for a PG? Are they gonna con them into thinking LaVine can play the small ball 3?

paxson has said they will take bpa regardless of position and the bulls fo have scouted young multiple times and have liked him for months(they arent drafting sexton)

I think they could swing a 3 guard lineup with that. Atleast for the immediate future. Hard to pass on the upside of Young for anybody but MPJ there imo

I know, and I don't think that's wise. If Chicago takes Young, Dunn or LaVine's days are numbered. You can sell me on a Dunn/Young backcourt. the defense would be NBA worse, but you could try to convince people on LaVine /Young. Having all 3 just means Dunn is gonna be the odd man out. LaVine plays way too many minutes to believe that all 3 are gonna get in and get theirs. I could understand Porter from a talent standpoint and Carter as well. They both fill needs too. If Dunn even somewhat gets off to a bad start, everyone will be crying for Young and that'll make things real awkward.

No it doesn't. Porter is who the bulls want and have wanted since last summer but he may not be on the board at 7 they have to cast a wide net and have contingency plans(Carter and mikal bridges will workout for the bulls tomorrow)

I disagree with everything else you're saying. The nba is changing the rockets had lineups with cp3,harden and gordon with pj tucker playing the 5

the pelicans had a line up with rondo, moore and holiday in the playoffs.Dunn has a 6'9 wingspan he can guard wings the bulls aren't getting rid of him

Do you actually watch Mikal or Miles Bridges play?
He ain't wrong. I ain't sold on Miles AT ALL and if someone wasn't crazy about Mikal "Rodney Carney with range" Bridges I wouldn't trip.

And for a rebuilding team? fukk that. swing for the fences. neither of those guys are high upside.

The Coli feels that Jaren Jackson is going to be the only bust in the Top 10.

As in the past 10 years. A good 50% of the Top 10 are busts.

I got no opinions on Jaren Jackson :hubie: He'll be as good or as bad as whatever organization drafts him. Personally I think whoever Memphis takes may as well cash out. Philly is a problem now too after BC was out here talking about Fultz' mom's jumpoff was the guy who fukked up his shot.

Mikal can’t create on his own and his defense is overrated in draft circles. Can’t guard quick 2s or college bigs. RoCo is a good scenario for him.

Miles I don’t see as a good fit at Chicago in particular. Unless they feel comfortable about Lauri running at 5 for long stretches. In general his offensive game doesn’t project well enough to be anything but a hustle player.

Don’t claim to be an expert though all imo

The NBA is changing because everyone wants to copycat Golden State's death lineup only to realize they're not as good as it and they don't have anything to counteract it. Even the Dubs trot out a traditional starting lineup.

If anyone wants to hear about the pre-draft process for prospects, here's a podcast with Darington Hobson being interviewed. Pretty interesting stuff.

Dunn is an NBA level defender now. Probably the third best one on the team. He's very advanced in that department. However, and this will hurt, I don't think he's cut out to play PG. He was so clueless and tentative on that end that it's as if he never played it before. He might wind up being a Marcus Smart or even a Tony Allen as a top notch defensive specialist. That's his value. Sadly he might be better off the ball because most nights he was outplayed by Tyus Jones. I wish him well though and I know he wanted to make it worse.

This is what you said about kris dunn a year ago :skip: and you said the bulls will need a new pg in another thread

Now all of a sudden they(dunn or lavine) 2 players you been shyttin on should be insulted.Man get the fukk outta here

Talent is talent you figure the rest of it out later.Bulls aint gonna draft young anyway

They’re not my problem. You must have skipped the part where I said “you can sell people on Young and Dunn, maybe LaVine and Young if defense is not a requirement, but not all three.” Someone’s gonna jerked out of PT. Opinions on Trae Young or any PG aside, it sends a message to whoever is there that they’re not 100% sold on them.

I said THEY should be insulted and they should be. If you’re gonna take Young, then one of either Dunn/LaVine ain’t your long term solution (either that or at the 7th pick y’all are convinced there isn’t a starter to be had). Talent is talent, but talent - direction = Orlando. You say figure it out later, but Zach’s an RFA now. Dunn’s eligible for an extension next summer, and Trae Young or whoever PG on 15 mpg isn’t gonna give you the answers you need that fast.
