I love Atlanta, but Barry had the better, more coherent season from a writing/performance level. I mean Twin Peaks didn't get any wins tonight and there were a lot of comparisons that could be had. Hader's performance was funny, menacing and sad all at the same time. He deserved it.

The episode hader had to off his friend>teddy perkins in a strictly acting sense

You could make a case for Atlanta over Barry but Hader was head and shoulders above Glover in terms of acting. Honestly, Glover's acting is the most/only mediocre part of Atlanta. Hader's performance is the entire core of Barry. Itwould have completely fallen apart if he didn't nail his performance.

And I'm happy Thandie Newton won for Westworld, I knew she had it in the bag when the episode aired.

Pissed Akechata wasn't even nominated for the best episode all season.

Glad GoT won best series.
