But USC has been ass for over a decade. That's why you dikk ride some many other teams.

I don't think South Carolina is great, but I have to admit I'm really surprised Muschamp won that many games. Why couldn't he do that at FL with all that talent is the question.

He was too defensive minded...

What do you know about Sweeney? I need to ask a Clemson fan this. Do you think he is really a good coach or is he another Pete Carroll. In a sense of their assistants are really the ones that are the difference.

3 straight years in the playoffs and a chip is impressive. I was just wondering if it is really Sweeney or the crew the real coaches.

I can say that Dabo is exactly who he is. As a position's coach he as a players coach who was accessible to any of them. That's one of the main reasons he got the interim coach position when Tommy Bowden was let go and not DC Vic Koenning. I can say that he's like Pete in a lot of ways as his coaching style is more business model than some other coaches. However his biggest asset is his vision for the overall product. He knew what type of offense and defense he saw in his big picture of Clemson. He even knew what facilities and amenities he wanted to have at Clemson that best conveyed his goals for the players.

People really forget this about Dabo.
1. When he took over...he fired Rob Spence and promoted Billy Napier to OC. After not really finding anyone he and Napier tried to run the offense the next year and let's just say we got by on having CJ Spiller do everything with a bad toe.
2. He fired Koenning because Vic was not happy that he did not get the job and was causing commotion. He in turn hired Kevin Steele.
3. He hired Chad Morris but knew that Morris was going to be trying to dip for a HC position the first nibble he got. So from year one he made Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott learn Morris's Offense and add to it. So when Chad left we had a "Clemson Offense" in place.
4. He knew after winning the Natty that a few staff members were going to retire so he already had a short list of coaches that he felt would be a fit and hired them asap. Ex. He went and go Coach Bates from Jax St in Alabama.

I say all that to say that his biggest abilities are to really create a real family feel to the program and to maintain staff turnover. He stated that he has more than enough money and he doesn't want his staff to feel like more money is a reason for them to leave. He'd rather they wait for the right job instead of any job so he ensures they are paid well and are respected. The result is a bunch of coaches that feel they are equal to everyone and they all get along.

Yall think we'll have a new elite or near elite CFB program emerge in the next 10-15 years that never was one before??

Like say.....

nc state
Texas tech
Oregon state

Any of those type of schools that be ranked in the 20's most years then all of a sudden figure it out and make THE JUMP??? For a minute i though Sumlin and A&M was about to and maybe they will now with Jimbo

Oregon state? Did you confuse them with Oklahoma state? Because Oregon state is never good. They're never really in the top 25. And Chad Ochocinco ain't walking back through those doors

My nikka stop nit picking and answer the question :what:
nikka I already answered the question :what:

Oregon state ain't never been good. So they ain't bout to be a powerhouse anytime soon :what:

A better question would've been which former powerhouse will become one again.
Texas, Nebraska, or The U
