Meet Tarrell Basham. One of the most underrated players in the draft.

This dude is a first round prospect in my book. I currently have him rated as my 3rd best edge rusher in this draft.

Swag's Top 5 Edge Rushers

1. Myles Garrett (Texas A&M)
2. Derek Rivers (Youngstown St.)
3. Tarrell Basham (Ohio)
4. Charles Harris (Missouri)
5. Derek Barnett (Tennessee)

Tim Williams is the 2nd best pure edge rusher and its a big drop off after that. Him and Garrett are the only 2 with the potential to be great pass rushers. He should have a great combine

Takkarist McKinley up there too. If nothing else he'll be a very good pass rush specialist

Most of the talk during the first day of combine weigh-ins has centered on the offensive line. In speaking with people it seems the majority of teams have Cam Robinson, Garett Bolles, Dan Feeney and Dorian Johnson ranked on boards as four of the top five offensive linemen, regardless of position.

After that there’s a wide range of opinion.

Some teams have Forrest Lamp grouped as a top five blocker, others place Ryan Ramczyk with the top pack and a few shockingly have Roderick Johnson in the handful of five. What surprised me was the number of teams that have Lamp as a top five lineman and how many didn’t include Ramczyk in the group.

I’m hearing more and more buzz Lamp could land in the first round after a good combine workout and end up somewhere in the late 20’s. I initially wrote about this on February 21st with some skepticism but it seems to becoming a reality. The college left tackle is expected to run under 5-seconds in the forty and also put up close to 40-reps on the bench press.

One thing we definitely learned here in Indianapolis today; arm measurements from the Senior Bowl were way off. The official numbers here at the combine, in the early going anyway, have arm lengths anywhere from ¼ inch to more than a full inch longer than those who were measured in Mobile.

I spoke highly of Davis Webb in the latest edition of Monday Musings though I was critical of his throwing mechanics, specifically his footwork. Expect to see a much more refined Webb when he throws the football on Saturday as he’s been working with former NFL quarterback Jim Zorn since the Senior Bowl. I was informed footwork and passing mechanics were a priority.

Tim Williams is a scrub. Dude won't last more than 4 years in the league.
Who do you think are the best NFL prospects in college right now?

Here are my favorite prospects. I think these guys become NFL stars.

QB - Dobbs, Watson, Rosen
RB - Hurd, Fournette, Cook
DE - Myles Garrett, Jonathan Kongbo, Tim Williams
LB - Jarrad Davis
CB - Cam Sutton, Jourdan Lewis
S - Derwin James, Jamal Adams

Now shut up

If u want to say he's not an every down players thats fine. But u cant deny his pass rushing ability, I mean its obvious.

Compare Basham's video to this.

Williams shows off every pass rush move and looks like Von Miller at time how fast he comes off the edge and can bend his hips

Teams Say Cam Robinson Interviewed Well

A few weeks ago, WalterFootball.com surveyed teams around the league to see where they projected Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson. Half the teams saw Robinson going early in the first round, while the other half thought Robinson could slide to the back half of the opening frame. Thus, the combine is very important for Robinson to work out and represent himself well to evaluators during his team interviews. After the first night of interviews at the combine, team sources told WalterFootball.com that Robinson interviewed extremely well and helped himself.

Earlier in his collegiate career, Robinson had an off-the-field issue with a gun arrest where the charges were eventually dropped. When discussing that incident, Robinson showed accountability and was honest with teams. He also impressed teams with his football knowledge and mental development. Robinson entered the draft after his true junior season, but is very experienced after breaking into the starting lineup as a freshman. With three years of starting experience in the SEC, Robinson saw a lot of edge-rushing talent on a weekly basis.

Robinson could use a strong performance at the combine to help his chances of going in the top 20. While the field workouts matter, his team interviews were very important to lay to rest character concerns. After the first night, Robinson's combine is off to a good start.
