Dobbs had 53 passing TDs to 29 INTs. 61% completion on 6.9 YPA

Peterman had 47 passing TDs to 15 INTs. 61% completion on 8.7 YPA
:francis::francis:

So u can stop saying Dobbs had better stats too since the rushing will be irrelevant in the NFL

How come? Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, and Tyrod Taylor are all starting QBs in the NFL who are successful in large part because of their running ability.

Josh Dobbs running is one of the biggest reasons he'll be a SUPERSTAR in the NFL.

Dobbs 32 career rushing TDs in college are an indicator that he'll be an explosive weapon in the NFL as a runner.

And Peterman didn't have 6 NFL WRs along with Marshall Faulk and Eddie George at RB

Actually he did have them when he was at Tennessee. However, he lost his job to a guy younger than him cause every time he got under center he got a deer in the headlights look cause he was p*ssy. Peterman sucked at Tennessee cause he couldn't play behind a porous offensive line. He lacked Dobbs scrambling ability and running ability to keep pass rushers honest. Tennessee's o-line was really bad for Dobbs entire tenure. And he still made it work by putting up big time numbers and scoring lots of points. Not many QBs could do what Dobbs did behind that o-line.

So yes we had great skill players at Tennessee (even when Peterman was there) but because the offensive line was so bad, a pocket passer like Peterman couldn't utilize those weapons as effectively as Dobbs did when he took over.

As Alabama fan you should know this. In 2014 ya'll jumped out on us to a 24-0 lead with Peterman starting, then Butch Jones yanked him for Dobbs and Josh came into the came and lead a furious comeback that actually made the game interesting in the 4th quarter. That was Dobbs breakout game. And the game that sent Peterman packing out of town.

I'm not changing the subject. I never compared Peterman to Dobbs in college b/c it doesn't matter. And Peterman finished with better passing #s for his career than Dobbs did anyway...

Having a bad season after getting a ton of hype is the definition of regressing. And he had a good senior season but nothing great. He didn't get worse, but considering how people were projecting him, he regressed as a prospect in everyone's mind since he didn't get better like everyone thought he would.

His #'s getting better doesn't mean he progressed. But yea he didn't get worse like I said, he just didn't get much better like he was supposed to. Same thing as regressing pretty much

Yea I never compared their college careers, Dobbs game is obviously more suitable for college since the biggest part of his game is running the ball in a spread/read option offense. But Peterman had better career passing #s....and the rushing #s won't matter in the NFL so yea.

No. His game is suitable everywhere. You cacs want to keep black QBs out of the NFL. But that racism won't work this time. Now the colleges are producing so many black QBs yall will have no choice.

Lol. All 3 of them ran in the 4.5s for their 40. He isn't the athlete any of those guys are. He won't be running away from anyone in the NFL

U do know what kind of offense Tennessee ran don't u? An inside zone read spread option attack. Dobbs can't use any of that in the NFL. He will be terrible as strictly a drop back passer. That's why he wasn't that at Tennessee.

Actually he is. There is more to athleticism than the 40 yard dash. Dobbs is more elusive than all 3. His 6.75 3-cone drill which was better than most WRs and DBs is proof of that. Also his 10'2" broad jump was better than all 3. This shows that Dobbs has as good if not better lower body explosion.

Plus Dobbs thing as a runner was never pure speed. He's a slippery runner that breaks tackles and makes people miss a la Randall Cunningham. Cunningham was the first true running threat at the QB position in NFL history not because he was some speedster but because he was so slippery and no one could get get hands on him. Dobbs is the same type of runner.

Plus there really isn't much difference between a 4.64 and 4.59 40. Cam ran 4.59 and is doing perfectly fine in the NFL.

Five Teams Project Jordan Willis to Day 2

One of the workout warriors of the spring has been Kansas State defensive end Jordan Willis. At the combine, he had an electric 40 time of 4.53 seconds while also posting a tremendous vertical jump, broad jump, and three-cone time. This came after Willis had a quality performance at the Senior Bowl on top of his great final season for the Wildcats.

After Willis' huge combine, some analysts were projecting the Kansas State product to be a first-round pick. WalterFootball.com reached out to teams to see if they were pushing his grade into the Thursday night range, and all five teams said they had Willis as mid second-day selection.

The highest projection came from a NFC team picking in the top 20. They could consider taking a pass-rusher in the second round and said they had Willis as a mid second-rounder. One general manager of a NFC team known for its tough grading said they had Willis as a fourth-/fifth-round pick. Two teams said they had Willis as "2/3;" a late second- or early third-round pick. Another AFC team said they had Willis as a third-rounder.

Perhaps there are teams that have projected Willis to the first round, but after surveying five different organizations, none of them had him close to being a Thursday night pick despite his great workouts.

I know the Saints are high on Willis I think he ends up better than Garrett.

He definely stood out more in their bowl game

But he'll be scrambling. Like Randall Cunningham. And he'll be giving defenses fits.

Dobbs will be that ULTIMATE WEAPON Sports Illustrated hyped Randall Cunningham as.

Dobbs will be a dominant passer and runner in the NFL.
