The intriguing part about this Celtics and Sixers deal is that Magic can throw this all off..

I was skeptical about the rumors that the Lakers don't want Ball at first but the rumors that Ainge loved JJ turned out true so I'm more and more inclined to believe the Lakers could really pass on Ball.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
No way in hell Philly gives all that up for fultz

You think it's too much? Normally I'm against trading picks, but next years draft just doesn't have much that fits with what they have, and the 2021 pick is so far off that they should be good by then even without Embiid.

I agree. Not sure where u stand on him and while I'm not one who thinks Fultz will ever be a player you build around on a contender he fits them well and the next few years drafts are very light on pg's

Duval and Sexton are a dropoff from any of the top 4 pg's in this draft

I think he could be an elite scorer at PG in the same way Kyrie is, just walking out there and giving you a lightwork 22-25ppg. He is the type of player you want next to a playmaker like Simmons, and the offensive sets the Sixers have been running would work with them both. It takes a generational type of talent at PG to be built around and he's not that, but he is definitely a core piece that could be the 2nd option and late game closer for a contender.

Fultz is a much more complete player than Kyrie. That comp needs to go away for good.

I know, Kyrie has t-rex arms which is part of the reason why he'll never be a good defender (in addition to a weak frame), but as far as scoring goes I feel like Fultz could be just as deadly scoring as Irving who is the best isolation scorer in the league.

Fultz is light years ahead of him as a passer, too. I don't know why people fail to realize he has elite vision but the numbers compare VERY favorably to any of the comps people throw out.

I know you're worried about him falling victim to stand and wait

(Time stapped)

He's going to fit into that offense no problem, even with No J Ben.

So what purpose does Ben serve if you have Fultz/Embiid combo? I get that it can work but is it optimal? Ben would have to be a multipositional plus defender for me to make sense of it. They should have drafted Ingram tbh :yeshrug:

It all depends on whether or not he can develop a jumper in the future, but initially I think he's going to give them a different look and be able to get them transition buckets and find shooters when he's on the break. Having a Forward that can rebound then push the pace is a nice luxury to have, also he's big as hell (Pause :dame:) and stopping his drives is going to be a lot easier said than done if they have the right shooting around him.

The rumor i saw earlier was philly pick this year, laker pick next year, and the kings pick
